The Palo Alto Parent Teacher Council (PTAC) is the umbrella organization for all 17 PAUSD school PTA Associations (PTAs/PTSAs). Palo Alto PTAC is a group of core volunteers working to advocate for our children for over 100 years.
PTA membership provides you with a vote on matters that are important to your family and child.
Last year, PTA Council volunteers collectively worked thousands of hours to put on PTA events, back-to-school events, Staff appreciation, Principal’s Coffees, and more. PTAC also advocates for district wide issues, as well as inter-school collaborations. In 2018-2019 school year, PTA Council advocated before the PAUSD Board regarding the Stanford University building project to the advantage of schools and staff. We also facilitated secondary school joint parent education events. This year we are partnering with our educational foundation, Partners in Education (PiE), and PAUSD District Departments to bring about fundraising, efficiency in calendaring, and producing relevant and timely work product that impact our kids in this school year.
