With over 60 million Hispanics in the United States—the nation’s largest ethnic and racial minority—it is safe to say that the rich cultures from these communities will only continue to enhance our nation’s future. You may be wondering why Hispanic Heritage Month spans from mid-September to mid-October? Well, the timing for this month-long celebration was intentionally chosen to encompass the Independence Day of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Chile, and Belize.
