We hope that you all had a great summer vacation and are refreshed and ready to start the 2019-20 school year!
There are have been a few Principal changes in PAUSD for 2019-20. Chris Grierson is moving from Duveneck to JLS, and we have
new principals at Duveneck (Annora Lee) and Palo Verde (Leslie Crane). The district also has new Chief Business Officer, Carolyn Chow.
Welcome Annora, Leslie and Carolyn!!
Here is the official PAUSD Press Release welcoming the newcomers.
We are united in this “full mitigation” message with PAUSD, the school board, our teachers, and our classified staff.
The Planning Commission is voting on the GUP at its June 27 hearing (1:30 p.m.) – speak up for our students!
Why are we messaging the Planning Commission? The planning commission, in approving the GUP to the full county board, must find it won’t detrimentally impact the public welfare, health and safety (by county zoning ordinance). Full mitigation is necessary for the Stanford GUP to NOT detrimentally impact our students’ welfare (education opportunities), health (nurses, counselors) and safety (Safe Routes to Schools).
Please open your Click My Cause app and tap twice for “full mitigation”
! (Tap 1: “act now”; Tap 2: “send message”). Your message will be sent to the county planning commission. If you don’t yet have the Click My Cause iPhone app on your iPhone, click here
to download the free app to your phone. Tap “allow” to allow notifications – you must do this to receive your PTAC alerts.
please email the County Planning Commission, requesting they ensure Stanford “fully mitigates” the impacts of the GUP

The Palo Alto Weekly is working on a story about the mental health challenges that new and expecting mothers face, including postpartum depression, anxiety, stigma and other issues. If you are willing to share your story, please email staff writer Elena Kadvany at firstname.lastname@example.org.
