The Palo Alto Council of Parent Teacher Association (PTAC) is working hard to communicate with our PTAs and PTA members. We are passing along information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) on what you can do to help slow the transmission of the virus in our local community. This is a collaborative effort. Feel free to share the message.

Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD):Will school events (field trips, sports, etc.) be canceled? Are schools going to close?
The Palo Alto Council of Parent Teacher Association (PTAC) is in communications with the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD). Here is what we know. Over the weekend, all PAUSD school sites (public areas and bathrooms) were cleaned and wiped down. Teachers are receiving, will be receiving, or have already received cleaning supplies to wipe down their classrooms.
Palo Alto High School and JLS Middle School are open. No PAUSD school is closed. Please continue to send your children to school. Schools will remain open. Unless there is case confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and in consultation with Santa Clara County Health Department, our Superintendent shall make the announcement to do otherwise.
The CDC has provided guidance for school districts with and without identified COVID-19 cases. For more information please contact us at (firstname.lastname@example.org) or (ePrep@paloaltopta.org).
