Thank You Tacolicous!

Tacolicious School Project

Since 2012, Tacolicious has made public education its priority, investing back into the Bay Area community through the Tacolicious School Project. For Tacolicious owners Joe Hargrave and Sara Deseran, this mission is personal. Since kindergarten, their children have attended SF public schools.

How it works: From September to May, each of our SF, Palo Alto and San Jose Tacolicious locations pair up with neighboring public schools, donating 15 percent of a month’s worth of Monday’s proceeds. Tacolicious has an annual alliance with 54 public schools. To date we have given over $1,000,000 to public education!

PALO ALTO PTA’s THANK TACOLICOUS FOR

THEIR GENEROUS SUPPORT!

Stanford GUP Update

We are united in this “full mitigation” message with PAUSD, the school board, our teachers, and our classified staff.
The Planning Commission is voting on the GUP at its  June 27 hearing (1:30 p.m.) – speak up for our students!
Why are we messaging the Planning Commission? The planning commission, in approving the GUP to the full county board, must find it won’t detrimentally impact the public welfare, health and safety (by county zoning ordinance). Full mitigation is necessary for the Stanford GUP to NOT detrimentally impact our students’ welfare (education opportunities), health (nurses, counselors) and safety (Safe Routes to Schools).
Please open your Click My Cause app and tap twice for “full mitigation”! (Tap 1: “act now”; Tap 2: “send message”). Your message will be sent to the county planning commission. If you don’t yet have the Click My Cause iPhone app on your iPhone, click here to download the free app to your phone. Tap “allow” to allow notifications – you must do this to receive your PTAC alerts.
Android users: please email the County Planning Commission, requesting they ensure Stanford “fully mitigates” the impacts of the GUP on our schools: planning.commission@pln.sccgov.org
